Systems built by HR,for HR

I'm Wesley Cheng, an HR leader, not an engineer. Hiring, onboarding, attendance, pay, talent reviews, learning, grievances, workplace health: I built each of these 16 systems myself, after getting stuck on the problem in my own HR work.

In-house or at a conference. Happy to compare notes on HR AI systems, too.

From hiring to everyday work, the whole employee journey connected with AI

About Wesley

I'm Wesley Cheng, an HR leader, not an engineer by training.

For more than 8 years I've worked in HR management across different industries, from policy design and process improvement to organizational management, handling HR problems of every size. That experience taught me to start from the actual business, find the cause behind a problem, and then work out how to solve it.

Once I started building systems with AI, I found that many problems that used to be handled by hand, for lack of technical resources, were now ones I could solve myself.

Almost every system I build comes from a real HR situation: an admin process that eats hours every week, or a compliance task that's easy to miss. I clarify the problem, break the process down, build a minimum viable version, then keep refining it through real use.

To me, a system's value isn't how complete its features are or how complex the technology is. It's whether it actually makes the work better.

How we can work together

Book an HR × AI workshop or talk, or just compare notes on HR AI systems.

HR × AI workshop

Your own processes are the exercise. We build it in the room.

  • First we find the processes that take the most time and go wrong most often
  • Pitched to your team's level, with the work you do every day as the exercises
  • Turn your SOPs into Skills that AI follows step by step
  • By the end, your team has a version they can use the next day

HR × AI talk

Help leaders and HR see what AI can actually do.

  • What AI can do for HR, told through real hiring, onboarding and pay examples
  • Once AI agents handle hiring, which calls still need a person
  • Where company AI rollouts get stuck, and how to move them forward
  • In-house or at a conference, adjusted to who's listening
